I have always been an avid sports fan, both watching and playing sports. I wanted to show the effort that it takes to be an athlete, not the usually glamour shots that people often see in magazines. The dirtier, sweatier, more tired the athlete the more profound the image. This work focuses on a transitional state, a moment in-between moments if you will. It’s a quiet moment, very still and beautiful.
